The truckers were the biggest asset in the this Tea Party victory using their trucks to create a
statement in Washington D.C. Other Tea Partiers came out to help keep Washington D.C. monuments clean as government maintenance personal were given a couple weeks vacation due to no money for them.
Ted Cruz made an attempt to get a strong message out to the public by making a "Non Filabuster" stand on the senate floor for as many hours as he could stand and find something to talk about.
U.S. House Representatives Michelle Bachmann, Mike Lee and Louie Gohmert made a stand at the WWII Veterans memorial along with all the WWII veterans to keep it open as government security attempted to shut it down and keep out WWII veterans.
Hundreds of other small Tea Party events happened during the government shutdown by Tea Partiers protesting and making their voices heard and helping keep national parks clean.
This was the point of the government shutdown, "Get The Conservative Voice Heard".
