Quote: A shadow ban is where a user is ‘hidden’ from an online community, but they don’t know about it – their tweets or posts can’t be seen by anyone except themselves. So they carry on as normal, unaware that they’re invisible to the wider community. More and more people are reporting it’s happened to their accounts.Twitter is the biggest culprit of shadow banning but I truly am becoming aware that Facebook has entered the shadow banning game to silence the Republican voice. Many Republicans I'm meeting on smaller Republican websites have sworn that they have been messed with by Facebook for voicing their political opinions. I myself have been experiencing a problem with lack of responses and views to my articles I write after posting them on Facebook.
Facebook is sneaky about their endevours and most likely have developed a system of "Shadow Banning" that makes Twitter's shadow banning look like it was produced by amateurs. In or about the end of 2017 shadow banning started to become apparent on Twitter. In July of 2018 the story was still going strong and in Oct. of 2018 I myself started having problems on Facebook after the midterm election. Well, at least we know it took Facebook a year to create and implement their shadow banning. Before Oct. of 2018 I'd always hear from Republicans that they were put in Facebook jail or outright banned.
There's many ways Facebook can shadow ban you. They can shadow ban any links that go back to your web site from your posts, shadow ban your comments, shadow ban your whole post, shadow ban anyone but friends from seeing your posts, shadow ban your friends from seeing your posts. Facebook can get so creative when shadow banning a person.
I feel my article posts back to my blog on Facebook were shadow banned from the general public and only my friends can see them. Now my comments are being shadow banned as well. Many people have a problem with Google being far left but I never had any Republican say they felt they were hassled on "Google Plus" which was Googles social media web site. All of Googles problems delt with them not letting Republican political ads be seen. Google may not be seen as friendly to Republicans but them shutting down "Google Plus" broke bad for Republicans now that Facebook is fully engaged in shadow banning.
Facebook members are mostly foreigners. Facebook has over a billion members from all over the world and out of this billion my guesstimate is only 50 million are U.S. Citizens. Most likely most of the 50 million U.S. Citizens on Facebook are democrats. Facebook doesn't want to hassle all Republicans because they get their money from advertising but they are indeed shadow banning any Republicans that are vocal.
